The Global Patient Reported Outcomes for MS (PROMS) Initiative is a unique collaboration, aiming to reach consensus on a set of standardised Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) to be used in therapy development and healthcare.
The theme of the 2022 annual meeting of the PROMS Initiative was how to improve the representation of people affected by MS in the development of PROs. In November 2022, we welcomed people affected by MS, researchers, clinicians and industry representatives from across the globe to Baveno, Italy, to discuss this important topic.
The meeting was divided into four sections:
- Barriers and limits in the collection and use of PROs
- The challenges of achieving representativeness, as experienced by people affected by MS
- Addressing the gaps in currently available PRO measures
- The future of remote monitoring and self-management – the role of digital technology
