New MS organisations join The May 50K
Esclerosis Múltiple Argentina and the MS Society of Canada sign up to the challenge
Last updated: 4th February 2022
The May 50K is a virtual event where people around the world run or walk 50 kilometres throughout May to raise money for MS research and improving access to treatment. In 2021, The May 50K ran in Ireland, the Netherlands, the UK, the USA and Canada. The public response was incredible raising more than £1.25m for the global movement last year alone.
Thanks to incredible fundraisers, the money has supported national projects as well as global MS research and access to treatment. For example, MSIF boosted its support for research into progressive MS, and awarded an additional McDonald Fellowship to a young MS researcher. And 2022 is set to be even bigger!
Today, the global May 50K community continues to grow. Esclerosis Múltiple Argentina and the MS Society of Canada are set to take on the challenge in 2022, alongside MS Ireland, the UK MS Society, and Stichting MS Research in the Netherlands.
Remember, everyone can take part in this virtual event. Wherever you live, whatever your fitness level, you decide when and where to complete your 50 kilometres. We hope you will join the fun in May 2022: https://www.themay50k.com/
