To mark World Brain Day 2021, the Sociedade Portuguesa de Esclerose Múltipla (SPEM) in Portugal teamed up with partners to promote brain health and raise public awareness of MS.
In this project, they worked with people with MS to create a video highlighting the importance of activities that help us maintain healthy brains. They asked people with MS to share their experiences of life with MS, and talk about the activities they do to keep their brains healthy.
Good brain health is important for everyone, but it is especially important in managing MS. One way to do this is to keep our minds and bodies active. Watch the video to hear how people with MS across Portugal are maintaining brain health through teaching, writing, playing music, creating art and running.
The video is available to watch in Portuguese with English subtitles.
