Kiss Goodbye to MS launches
The exciting new international fundraising campaign for MS has officially begun!
Last updated: 26th January 2016
Worldwide there are over 2.3 million people living with MS and around two thirds are female. It is usually first diagnosed when people are between the ages of 20 and 40, just when people are trying to start careers and families. It is a chronic and unpredictable disease that needs serious solutions.
But that doesn’t mean that raising money to fight it shouldn’t be fun!
Kiss Goodbye to MS is a way for everyone to do something fun, exciting, glamorous, weird or whatever, to raise money for research and for the support that people with MS urgently need.
Brought together by MSIF, MS organisations from around the world are joining forces to help you Kiss Goodbye to MS. This is the first truly international fundraising campaign for MS and it’s only going to grow.
In 2016 there are national campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Ireland, France, Denmark, and Sweden. If your country isn’t taking part this year don’t worry, there are more countries joining in 2017, and until then you can still take part through the global site.
Money raised for Kiss Goodbye to MS will fund vital research into the causes, treatments and possible cures for MS, as well as help for people living with the disease now.
It’s your campaign. You decide what you want to do, how you’re going to raise money and you share it with your friends, family and the world on social media using the hashtag #KissGoodbyeToMS.
The campaign is live now, and will run through until Valentine’s Day (14 February 2016). Follow the action on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and on the official Kiss Goodbye to MS global website, and don’t forget to sign up for first-hand news on the campaign!
