Impact of sleep disorder treatment on fatigue in MS

Following recent reports that sleep disorders are linked to fatigue in people with MS, this new study from Canada examines the effect of treatment of sleep disorders on patients' fatigue levels. The authors found that the people with sleep disorders receiving treatment showed improved energy levels as assessed by a battery of fatigue severity scales. This new work suggests that diagnosis of sleep disorders in people with MS is important as treatment options exist which may improve quality of life.
