A simple score for estimating the long-term risk of fracture in patients with MS

This study describes a novel risk stratification tool for predicting long term risks of fractures in people with MS. The new risk score contains several new risk factors that have been linked with fracture, which include MS, use of antidepressants, use of anti-convulsants, history of falling and history of fatigue. The authors validated the new scoring system at predicting 5 and 10 year risk and it proved particularly good for predicting hip fractures.
